RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine “Gloria” Lavorgna of Mexico was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, at Parish of The Holy Savior St. Athanasius – St. John Church in Rumford with the Rev. Phil Tracy as the Celebrant. George Gionet was the altar assistant. Readings were given by Holly Lavorgna and Meghan White. Presenting the gifts to the altar were Jamie and Sabin Lavorgna. Words of remembrance were given by Edward Lavorgna. Mark Belanger was the organist. Musical selections included “Hosea,” “Amazing Grace,” “We Will Rise Again” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” A reception followed at the Parish hall after the Mass. Interment in the spring will be in St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, Rumford.
