Keigwin + Company, known to be clever, kinetic and theatrical — but unpretentious, will perform Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 2-4, as part of the Bates Dance Festival. Larry Keigwin first attended the festival more than 20 years ago and has participated as a choreographer, faculty member and featured mainstage performer. Last year, he choreographed a new musical, “Tales of the City,” at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, and a new off-Broadway production of “Rent.” Performances will be at 8 p.m. in Schaeffer Theatre, 305 College St. The Saturday performance, $50, will be a gala event followed by an anniversary party with the artists. Tickets for the other performances are $24, $18 for seniors and $12 for students. Call 786-6161 or visit www.batesdancefestival.org/EventNotes/keigwin.php.
