BATH — Students of New England Regional Theater Company will present Godspell, Jr. from May 17-26 at the Winter Street Center. Godspell, Jr. is a version of the popular, well-loved musical created especially for younger cast members.

“Godspell” is an Anglo-Saxon word meaning “good word” or “good news.” It eventually became the word “gospel.” It is based on the gospel according to St. Matthew. The show draws from various theatrical traditions, such as pantomime, charades and vaudeville in a very unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness, tolerance and love.

The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. May 17,18,24 and 25, and at 2 p.m. May 19 and 26. Tickets are $15/$12. Group discounts are available. To reserve your tickets, email [email protected]. Seating is limited. For more information, call 207-837-4540.
