SAPARS seeking yard sale donations
PARIS — Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services of Oxford County, Bridgton and Harrison is currently seeking donations for the final annual benefit yard sale, which will be held July 10 and 11.
Donations accepted include household items, books, games, knick knacks and clothing in good condition. Electronics and appliances will not be accepted. They can be dropped off at the SAPARS office located at 1 East Main St. in South Paris.
All benefits of the yard sale will be used for SAPARS to continue providing free support and educational programs throughout the county.

Beacon House to hold craft fair May 9
RUMFORD — The Beacon House will have a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Eagles Club in Rumford.
Crafters and vendors from all around are welcome to take part in this event.
Table rentals are $15 for one and $25 for two.
There will be a chili cook-off for those interested. There is a $5 entry fee.
The event includes a Chinese auction, childrens’ corner and karaoke.

American Legion to hold yard sale
PARIS — An indoor yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at American Legion Post 72, Church Street.
The lunch counter will be open.
There will be a 50/50 raffle and raffle baskets.
Proceeds support the ladies Auxiliary sending three young ladies to Girls State.
Mothers Day dinner set for May 10
NEW SHARON — The Franklin Masonic Lodge of New Sharon will hold a Mother’s Day dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 10.
The meal is free for mothers. The cost for adults is $8, children ages 6 to 12 is $6, and children younger than 6 are free. Take out is available.
Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the building fund.
Invasive Forest Pest Workshop will be May 19
FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold the Invasive Forest Pest Workshop from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, at the Farmington Municipal Building, 153 Farmington Falls Road.
Workshop presenters include Allison Kanoti, forest entomologist of the Maine Forest Service, and Lorraine R. Taft, FPOSP Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator.
The cost of the workshop is $20 by May 11, and $25 May 12 or later.
