LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce will host a business-startup workshop from 8 to 9 a.m. Thursday, June 2, at the chamber, 415 Lisbon St.
It’s part of Mind Your Business — A Business Development Series. The topic is “So You Want to Start Your Own Business!” The workshop will be led by Paul Beaudette of Leading Edge Business Strategies.
The session will provide information on tools to start a business, proper planning, forecasting, executing and tweaking. Beaudette will address business plans, how to fund a startup, how much money is needed, when to hire that first employee, what marketing needs to be done and when it should be started.
Beaudette is a local business coach and consultant who, after 30-plus years of operating small to large businesses, started his business. He is a board member of the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and is active with Think Local, the Central Maine Medical Center Development Committee and Friends of the Lewiston Public Library.
The chamber requires notification of cancellation no less than 48 hours before the workshop starts. Otherwise, no refunds will be issued.
