LEWISTON — A funeral Mass honoring the life of Marie L. Rousseau was celebrated Monday, June 20, at the Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul Church following prayers at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Marc Caron celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the beginning of the Mass, Marie’s children, Sandra Caron and Gary Rousseau placed the pall on their mother’s casket, which symbolized her baptism into new life. The First Reading and the Prayer of the Faithful were read by Marie’s granddaughter, Michelle Lessard. The Offertory was brought to the altar by Sandra Caron and Roger Couturier. The pallbearers were Roger Couturier, Donald Drouin, Bob Belanger, Bob Plourde and Craig Matlock. Arrangements by the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home in Lewiston.
