Rescue course
AUBURN – An American Red Cross basic water rescue course will be offered at the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday March 22.
The course will provide the information and skills necessary to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. It will also prepare participants for aquatic emergencies by teaching them how to protect themselves while assisting others.
The course will not provide participants with the information and skills needed to be certified as a lifeguard.

Trip seats available
LEWISTON – There are still seats available for the Lewiston Senior Citizens trip to the Cumberland County Civic Center for the Smucker’s Stars on Ice Performance on Saturday, April 12.
The bus will leave the Multi-Purpose Center at 4 p.m., travel to Bugaboo Creek in South Portland for dinner (cost on own) and attend the show, which starts at 7:30 p.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Board needs people
LEWISTON – A youth advisory board is seeking people ages 13 to 21. Tri-County Mental Health Services is looking for those who have received services from them to provide feedback and suggestions for the agency to improve services. Call Stephanie at 784-4110, ext. 105, to learn about the youth board. The first meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at the Lewiston Public Library.
Special groups
LEWISTON – Specialized group services for adults working to create opportunities for living fuller lives will be offered by Tri-County Mental Health Services.
Participants will learn about different coping skills and empowerment strategies in the following groups: obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), Preparing for Change, Program for Innovative Self-Management (PRISM), emotional regulation group and day supports.
