Library closed

AUBURN – The Auburn Public Library will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 23, and it will reopen from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26.

Seniors trip

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Senior Citizens are planning a trip to Branson, Mo., April 26 through May 1.

The trip includes transportation, bus and plane, hotel accommodations for five nights, five dinners and five breakfast, seven shows and a cruise on the Showboat Branson Belle. Anyone interested can join the trip.

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners of the quarterly club championship at the Multi-Purpose Center on Dec. 19 were: first, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; second, Jeanine Kivus and Fred Letourneau; third/fourth tie, Pat Smith and Shirley West with Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner; fifth, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; first in B and first in C, Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner; second in B, Nancy Farmer and Dick Allen.

Winners at Schooner Estates in Auburn on Dec. 20 were: first, Luke Merry and Paul Barber; second, Sharron Hinckley and Fred Letourneau; third, Martine Begert and Patricia Garcia; fourth/fifth tie, Katie Love and Sally Magee with Connie and Ron Reynolds; first in B, Connie and Ron Reynolds; first in C and second in B, Betty and Doug Sise.
