MEXICO – The congregations of the Rumford United Methodists and the Mexico United Church of Christ, (also known as the “Green Church”), will worship together for an Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, in the Green Church, 163 Main St.

The Rev. Virginia Snapp-Cunningham and guest minister, the Rev. Robert Plummer, will lead the service.

Choirs from both churches will sing an introit and anthem together. The imposition of ashes and communion will be part of this service. The public is invited. For more information call 364-8603.

RUMFORD – Women of the Class of 1952 from Stephens High School will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 1, at the Coop for their monthly luncheon.

Society program

FRYEBURG – Harvest Mills Animal Shelter will present the program at a meeting of the Fryeburg Historical Society at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, at the American Legion Hall on Bradley Street.
