RUMFORD – The Rumford Lodge of Elks 862 recently held a Student in Government Day with the top 10 seniors of Mountain Valley High School.

Of the Top 10 seniors participating were: Erin Kelley and Angela Brown at the Rumford Police Department, Desiree Violette at Med-Care ambulance Service, Amanda Theriault at Med-Care Ambulance, and JJ Bohren at the Rumford Town Office.

They were all treated to lunch at Freddie’s after a morning of learning how town government is run.

Youth activities chairman Debi Briggs noted that it is interesting to hear what the students learned and how excited they were to see different departments being run.
