By about 7 p.m., the retail district in Auburn was without power, with traffic lights out along Turner Street and Mount Auburn Avenue. Winds were expected to keep gusting as the temperatures dropped significantly early Friday night. More than 200,000 CMP customers were without power by 7 p.m.
