The Farmington Fire Chief Advisory Hiring Committee unanimously selected Hardy from among more than 20 applicants in the nationwide search.

Expected delivery of the new truck would be 16 months after it is ordered.

Selectmen approved increasing the septage receiving rate from $85 to $175 per 1,000 gallons of septage.

Local haulers will be charged $175 per 1,000 gallons, up from $85.

Construction on High Street is scheduled to start the third week in July.

The $8,000 will provide design plans needed before grants can be applied for to upgrade Dragon’s Nest Skateboard Park to modern standards.
