Oxford County receives more than $86,000 to fight COVID-19

The money went to five towns with nearly 80% going to Oxford.

The proposed budget will go straight to a referendum vote with no public hearing, per guidelines set by Governor Janet Mills.

Voters will decide on the proposal July 14.

Residents will meet at the fire station to approve a budget at next month’s town meeting..

Teacher salary adjustments, health insurance expenses and post-pandemic supports add $1.9 million to next year’s budget.

According to Paris Police Chief Michael Dailey, the woman at the center of the incident swore at an employee and threw a full cup.

Charles Forman, 56, was flown to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

The state will do upkeep at the new courthouse in Paris.
