FARMINGTON – Everyone’s Resource Depot will begin its annual schedule of July Arts and Crafts workshops starting July 1. These programs are open to creative kids of all ages, and will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays during July.

Each workshop will feature a variety of craft projects using scrap materials. Topics for each session are: July 1 and 3, July 4 Projects; July 8 and 10, Make a Game; July 15 and 17, Favorite Book Projects; July 22 and 24, Create a Critter; and July 29 and 31, Your Choice. A small fee will be charged for materials and instruction.

ERD is presently offering help to those in the community who are planning summer programs for children. Many sample projects have been constructed and idea sheets are available on request. Examples of inexpensive scrap materials in good supply are: leather pieces and laces, a great variety of paper, felt and canvas, colorful foam pieces and beads, Popsicle sticks and wood turnings, telephone wire and wallpaper books.

For more information about the July workshops or about materials and services for community programs, phone 778-7150. ERD is located in Franklin Hall, UMF campus, at Main and South streets. Summer hours are from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Special openings may also be arranged.
