BETHEL – Members of the Mahoosuc Land Trust are slated to hear about more than just projects and revenue figures at their annual meeting Sunday.

Guest speaker Dean Bennett, professor emeritus at the University of Maine at Farmington, is presenting a slide program, “The Allagash: Symbol of a Conservation Ethic for Our Rivers” at the gathering. It will be held in the McLaughlin Science Center, Trustees’ Auditorium, at Gould Academy.

Bennett, a native of Locke Mills who graduated from Gould Academy in 1953, has had an extensive career as a teacher, photographer, writer and wilderness preservation advocate.

His photographs and artwork have been widely published. His books include two about the Allagash Wilderness Waterway.

The program is open to the public.
