LEWISTON – The Right Rev. Chilton R. Knudsen, bishop of Maine, will ordain Thomas C. Deschaine of Auburn and Jane V.F. Holmes of Norway to the Episcopal Diaconate.
The ordination will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at Trinity Episcopal Church. All clergy in the diocese have been invited to participate along with other invited clergy from other denominations in the area.
The guest preacher will be the Rev. Dr. Margaret Thomas, director of the Deacon Formation Program for the diocese and professor of Anglican studies at Bangor Theological Seminary.
In addition to the ordination, Trinity Episcopal Church will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of the parish on Sunday, June 6, with a service at 3 p.m. and an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. for the church and the Trinity Jubilee Center.
