AUBURN – Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, 426 Washington St. A food sale will be held after the meeting and members are reminded to include their favorite home-baked goodies or their garden vegetables. There will be no raffle table or bingo.

When the group met under the direction of President Dorothy Larrabee on June 9, there were 46 present. Pat Bergeron was welcomed as a guest. Those having June birthdays were recognized. Attendance prize winners were Anita Nadeau and Adele Delmonico; pot of gold, Viola McGilvery, Lucien Marcoux and Val Labrie. At the close of the meeting and following a bag lunch, bingo was played.

Members and guests took a trip June 11 to Foster’s Lobster House in York.

Inspection set

AUBURN – The Masonic brethren of Rabboni Lodge 150, AF and AM of Auburn, will host the DDGM at the annual inspection on Wednesday, June 23. There will be a 6:30 p.m. supper, followed by degree work at 7:30. All members are welcome.

WLU garden tour

AUBURN – The Woman’s Literary Union Garden Club will tour the gardens of Jody Goodwin in Turner on Friday, June 25. Club members and guests are asked to wear good walking shoes and to meet at the clubhouse on Elm Street at 9:30 a.m. to carpool. Goodwin writes the “Happy Gardening” column that appears in the Sunday Sun Journal. There is no rain date. For more information, call Cathy Westleigh at 783-9485.

Chorus parades

GARDINER – Members of Main-ly Harmony women’s barbershop chorus joined in the Gardiner Memorial Day parade and service on May 31, singing barbershop harmony as they walked.

The chorus, which meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Gardiner Middle School’s music room this summer, welcomes new members. Carpools are available from the Augusta, Waterville, Auburn and Bangor areas.

The chorus will perform at Marsh River Theater, Route 139, Brooks, on Saturday, July 3. For more information, call President Gerry Dostie and 622-5730.
