LEWISTON – A husband and wife photography team from Lisbon has work on display at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center Visiting Artist Gallery during July.

Dianne Kidder has been a serious amateur photographer since 1982, when she bought her first SLR manual 35 mm camera, took classes, read books and took every photograph she could of Maine, the USA and the world.

Rick Kidder rather sidestepped into his interest in photography in 1993 when he and Dianne were on a two-year trip of the Lower 48, Canada and Alaska. The scenery was so spectacular and he proved to have “a good eye.” His wife now considers him a seasoned amateur photographer.

They travel every chance they get and delight in capturing the beauty and diversity they find in their photos. The Southwest exerts a pull on them, as their photos reflect.

Soon Dianne plans an exhibit highlighting a new photographic style with which she is experimenting.

Dianne and Rick feel fortunate to be able to share two of their loves – photography and travel.
