LEWISTON – A theater workshop class is being offered at Lewiston Adult Education from 6:30 to 8 p.m. starting Monday, Sept. 20, and running six weeks at Lewiston High School No experience is necessary, just a wish to get involved. There will be drama and theater games.

The instructor, Andrew Harris, is an affiliate artist with the Portland Stage Company and will perform in their production of “The Foreigner” this fall. He is working on a project to stage medieval theater in Maine.

Harris has recently moved from England where he trained as an actor/educator. He worked with national and international theaters, directed his own medieval theater, ran a performing arts center, taught students from ages 6 to 96 and specializes in the work of theater-in-education and theater-in-the-round.

The cost is $25 for Lewiston residents and $30 for nonresidents. Students can register by phone, in person, or online at www.lewistonadulted.org. Those interested should call Lewiston Adult Education at 795-4141 for details.
