The global reach of the Internet and the apparent ease of the electronic medium make every business owner consider doing business on the Web.

From commercializing a hobby to supply chain management, the Internet has created massive change in the ways to do business.

The session will discuss the options for doing business on the Web, the issues to consider for each model and how to determine the appropriate strategy for a business. Advantages of each model, costs, infrastructure, management and pitfalls will be open for discussion.

The seminar is an overview presentation. Those who already have a Web site and are seeking sophisticated technical assistance should register for “Part II” in the next series of sessions.

The Lunch and Learn seminars are intended to provide information to existing businesses, new businesses as well as entrepreneurs in an affordable way. They are also intended to facilitate networking among businesses and entrepreneurs in similar activities.

The series is sponsored by the River Valley Technology Center, the River Valley Growth Council and the River Valley Chamber of Commerce.
