Two area golfers shot a hole-in-one in recent play.

Jim Raymond collected an ace on June 24 at The Meadows Golf Club in Litchfield. He aced the #15 hole, 138-yards, using an 8-iron. Witnesses were Dennis Bailey, Kim Smith and Wayne Brasier.

George Virgin registered his first hole-in-one while competing in the Men’s League at Maple Lane Golf Club at Livermore. His 6-iron found the cup on the difficult #3, 166-yard hole. Playing partners were Buster Storer and Dan Maurais. Virgin finished with a fine 76 round.

GRAY – The Jason Program’s First Annual Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday, August 22 at Spring Meadows. It’ll be a scramble format with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Entry fee is $95 per golfer or $380 per foursome. Proceeds will benefit The Jason Program, a non-profit organization that eases the pain and suffering of children with life-limiting illnesses.
