BETHEL – The Bethel Bandstand Concerts series will feature the Celtic tunes of Castlebay at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, on the Common. A duo, Castlebay weaves together the traditions of Maine’s nautical legacy and its Scottish and Irish heritage blending traditional and contemporary musical styles.
Celtic harp, guitar, fiddle and whistles are used ensemble or as vocal support. Julia Lane and Fred Gosbee are vocalists as well as instrumentalists.
The final concert in the series will feature the acoustic folk music of Anni Clark on Sunday, Aug. 28. All concerts begin at 4 p.m. and run 60 to 90 minutes. The rain site is Bingham Auditorium on Church Street, Gould Academy.
