LEWISTON – D.A. Poussard picked up 2 wins in early action in the Major Division of the Elliot Little League. Poussard trimmed Hannaford 14-2 as Coby Poussard hurled a complete game with 9 strikeouts. Sam Morin collected 3 hits for the winners. Chris Madden stroked 2 doubles. Other repeat hitters were Nate Berube, Poussard, Colt Steele and Eddie Emerson. Ben Chicoine, Matt Bowen and Justin Millette had hits for the Grocers. . . Poussard also beat Dube Flower 7-2 as Madden pitched a complete game, fanning 14. Tom Hird whacked 2 doubles. Berube, Stephen Hinkley and Morin were the other hitters. Cam Bussiere, Dakota Keene and Caleb Leino had hits for Dube.
Rowe Lewiston also earned 2 victories in the Major Division. Joe McKinnon got the pitching win as Rowe defeated Healey’s 9-3. Dylen Tanguay, McKinnon and Ryan Laverdiere provided the offensive spark. Connor Anthoine ripped 2 doubles for Healey. John Peters also belted a 2-bagger. . . Rowe also gained a 13-5 win over Aubuchon as Cam Hart and Laverdiere shared the mound duties. Repeat hitters were Chad Chabot, Coleman Morency and Laverdiere. Jesse Leeman had multiple hits for Aubuchon.
In the Minor Division, Heutz and Wendy’s played to an 8-8 tie.
Tom Smith’s 2-run double tied the game for Heutz in the fifth. Jordan Ferrell was on base twice. Wendy’s was led by Nathan Freve with a homer and double.
