WILTON – Western Maine Christian Academy, 959 Main St., will open its doors to begin 2006-007 classes at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6.
The school serves students from preschool through grade 12 and meets four days a week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Cynthia Thomas, LMSW, has been the administrator of the school for the last four years. She coordinates the grammar school and high school staff and curriculum, and has oversight of graduation requirements and college/career aspirations for each senior class.
Assisting her in coordination and supervision of the programs is the secondary education building supervisor, Deborah Richard.
Sheena Thomas, B.S., is trained in early childhood education from the University of Maine at Farmington and is a certified elementary school teacher. She has oversight of the staff and programming for the preschool through grade six.
Wendy Pond, R.N., directs the nursing program and coordinates classes on health and safety. There are about eight other trained and experienced men and women on the staff.
