CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – State health officials say they’ve found Triple E in mosquitoes in South Hampton.
The moquisto pool is the 23rd in the state to test positive for the virus this year, but there there have been no cases of the disease in humans. Two people died last year of the virus.
Health officials also report they found a bird in Merrimack that tested positive for West Nile virus, which also is carried by mosquitoes.
Residents are advised to take steps to avoid being bit by mosquitoes including wearing bug repellent and long sleeves at dusk and dawn, when mosquitoes are most active.
