LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Dec. 4 with 32 members present.
Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces.
Mary Groleau led in singing “Deck the Halls.” The sick list included Emile Richards, Lorraine Ellingwood, Christine Harlow and Eugene Pomerleau.
A Christmas party was held Dec. 11 and the Jay Elementary Chorus performed. A catered meal was served at noon, and Couture reminded members to bring a gift for the Rip-Off game.
Marilyn Desoto observed her birthday at the Dec. 4 meeting. Couture commented on Paddy’s Day at the Indian Head Resort on March 16.
SeniorsPlus will serve a Christmas meal of baked ham with sauce, boiled potatoes, peas, dinner roll and apple crisp a la mode on Thursday, Dec. 21.
Anyone interested should call for a reservation. There will be a meal served at the American Legion Hall on Christmas Day.
The 50-50 was won by Dora Slovak. The meeting was adjourned and beano and other card games were played.
