LEWISTON – Members of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will meet at noon Thursday, March 15, at the Ramada Inn to hear a presentation by Jean Maginnis, executive director of the Maine Center for Creativity in Portland. Her presentation, “Art All Around,” addresses painting the oil tanks in South Portland.

The Maine Center for Creativity was founded by Maginnis in May 2005 as a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to creating projects and programs that promote the arts and contribute to the vitality of Maine’s creative economy.

Maginnis has a BA in speech communications from Boston College and has worked for Swardlick Marketing Group, Hold, Hughes and Stamell Advertising, the Portland Museum of Art, the Children’s Museum of Maine and the Natural Resources Council of Maine.

She is a member of the Advertising Club of Portland, a member of the Governor’s Creative Economy Council and is the vice president of publicity and member of the board of the Portland Players.

Anyone wishing to hear the speaker or to learn more about Rotary is welcome to attend. Weekly buffet luncheons are $8 a person. Access the club’s Web site at www.lewistonauburnrotary.org for more information.
