THE SCOOP: Town Administrator Rhonda Irish announced that, after a preliminary application, the town has been invited to apply for a grant from Major League Baseball and Baseball Players Association’s Baseball Tomorrow Fund. Grant funds would supplement the $50,000 March town meeting voters raised for development of a regulation Babe Ruth field in the park.
Truck bid
ISSUE: Selectmen approved ordering a new 1-ton truck from O’Connor GMC of Augusta.
