NORWAY – Western Maine Health President and Chief Executive Officer Timothy Churchill has announced that West Paris artist Liz Evans is exhibiting her work at Stephens Memorial Hospital through April.

Evans has been painting for more than 30 years. She works in pastels, watercolors and oils, and most recently she has become engaged in drawing.

Having taken a few courses in pastels and watercolors, she does not say she is self-taught, but rather considers herself, “self-inspired through my paintings I give you a moment of peace. Life has sharp edges; I try to soften them”

Evans works out of her studio in West Paris and is also represented by the Painted Mermaid Gallery in South Paris, as well as Little Sebago Gallery in Windham. She has won numerous awards at shows and fairs and is involved with the Western Maine Art Group.

Stephens Volunteer Services works with local artists and artisans to provide year-round exhibitions at the hospital.
