AUBURN – The Western Maine Board of Approved Basketball Officials is recruiting new referees for the upcoming season. A rules clinic will be held at Edward Little High School on October 15 at 7 p.m. in Room 46 under the gym. Eligible are men and women ages 18 and older. Instruction will be given on rules and mechanics to prepare potential officials for the test in November. There is no charge for the course. The rule book is $18.
The Western Maine Board serves Androscoggin, Oxford, Cumberland, Sagadahoc and York Counties.
