Baha’i children help community
LEWISTON – Members of the Bah’ children’s class in Auburn served for a couple of hours in the Sisters of Charity food bank on April 26 and learned that cash contributions go much further than food contributions, as the pantry can buy the food from manufacturers at a fraction of actual retail price. The children made some cash donations, too.
While there, they decided to start a clean-up project in Kennedy Park and they want the public to know about it. The date is 10 a.m. to noon Sunday, May 11. Anyone wanting more information or to participate may call 782-5927.
The Bah’s have cleaned up along Lake Auburn on Route 4 several times a year for the last few years
