Parade, auction

NORWAY – Norway Business Association’s All American Celebration, “Show Your Colors,” parade will be held Saturday, June 28, beginning at 2 p.m. from the corner of Cottage and Main streets.

Grand marshals will be the Progress Center Olympic Team. There will be children’s activities, games and clinics at the kiosk following the parade. Refreshments will be available throughout the day from local nonprofit groups.

The Norway Business Association’s annual auction will be held at 5 p.m. at the Beal’s Tavern parking lot. Items include merchandise and gift certificates from local businesses and many surprises.

Sharon Bouchard will be auctioneer. Proceeds will benefit the business association children’s charities. A free street dance will follow the auction.

Legion concerts

OXFORD – The Anderson-Staples Post 112, American Legion, will host five free concerts at the post, corner of Route 121 and Skeetfield Road.

The first concert will be given by the Kora Shrine Band on Tuesday, June 17. On July 1 it will be the Bel Airs; July 15, The Timpanics, a steel band, playing a variety of music; July 29, Old Time Jazz Band; finishing up Aug. 12 with the Record Family Band.

Concerts will begin at 6:30 p.m., rain or shine. The Auxiliary will have refreshments available. There is adequate parking and there is a handicapped accessible restroom.
