HOLLIS, Maine (AP) – State police are investigating a robbery and a robbery attempt at convenience stores in Hollis and Windham.
Police say a young man pointed a gun at the clerk during the robbery at the Big Apple store in Hollis while an accomplice wielding a baseball bat waited outside.
The holdup occurred at around 2 a.m. Monday. Earlier in the morning, a robber wearing a red ski mask and sunglasses entered the Big Apple in Windham but came away empty-handed.
The man handed the clerk a note demanding money and indicated he had a weapon, but none was displayed.
