Lana Wheeler of West Minot Grange won the National Grange Contest by designing a T-shirt for the National Grange. Lana, daughter of Sharon and Dave Castonguay of Minot, attends Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in Paris. She has taken graphic design for three years and is a member of Skills U.S.A., a club at the technical school. Lana received the gold medal in art design advertising for the state and represented Maine at National Skills U.S.A. in Kansas City, Mo., where she placed ninth. The Minot Historical Society helped make her trip possible by donating $125. Marie Ouellette, a member of the historical society, is shown with Wheeler.
