RICHMOND – Paul LeClair has been selected as Richmond’s Community Citizen and will be honored by Enterprise Grange 48 at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26, in the Grange Community Room, 15 Alexander Reed Road. Refreshments will be served.

A widower, LeClair is the father of four, grandfather of four, step-grandfather of four and a veteran. He owns Goldenrod Farm and sells produce at local farmers markets and at his roadside stand. He donates produce to various organizations and churches for benefit suppers and gives to the needy.

LeClair is a supporter of Saint Ambrose Church, St. Joseph’s in Gardiner and other organizations such as snowmobile and short wave radio clubs. He participates in emergency drills and actual emergencies as part of the alternative communications system when normal systems are not available.

As a volunteer fireman, he stays at the station after a fire to check and care for the equipment so it is ready for the next time it is needed.

Sixth and seventh grade artists for the poster contest will also be honored. The contest theme for grade six was “Reach for the Stars” and entrants were Gwen Tomascik, Charity Winokurzew, Maddy Hartford, Cameron Emmons, Morgan Bailey and Abi Alaimo. The theme for grade seven was “Pride in Maine” and entrants were Sam Lorbeski, Collin Acord, Morgan Barto, Tori Richards, Isabella Chapman and Haley Murphy.
