CLT schedules auditions for ‘Grease’
AUBURN – Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre will hold auditions for “Grease” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday and Monday, June 14-15, at Great Falls Performing Arts Center.
The musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey takes place during the ’50s. Danny is a popular hotshot at school; Sandy is a goody-goody. They have a summer fling; and Sandy, who planned to move away for the school year, ends up staying and attending the same school as Danny. But, she finds him to be different than when she knew him over the summer and must decide whether they really should be a couple.

The audition will be closed for vocals, but open for dance and dialogue. Performances will be Aug. 14-23 at Lewiston Middle School.
Audition requirements: prepare a song to show your vocal range and ability; bring sheet music (accompanist will be provided); wear comfortable clothing; and be prepared to learn a dance routine.
The large cast includes the following:
Sandy Dumbrowski: virtuous teen girl, soprano; age 15-19.
Danny Zuko: cocky leader of the Burger Palace Boys, high baritone/tenor, age 17-21.
Betty Rizzo: tough, sarcastic leader of the Pink Ladies, mezzo, age 17-21.
Frenchy: fun-loving, friendly, soprano, age 17-21.
Marty: most attractive member of the Pink Ladies, alto, age 15-19.
Teen angel: guardian angel from above, tenor, age 25-35.
Vince Fontaine: an egotistical radio disk jockey trying to relive his teen years, age 35-50.
Doody: youngest member of the Burger Palace Boys, tenor, age 14-17.
Jan: Funny, loud, awkward member of the Pink Ladies, mezzo-soprano, age 15-19.
Kenickie: tough second-in-command of the Burger Palace Boys, baritone, age 17-21.
Sonny LaTierri: obnoxious member of the Burger Palace Boys, baritone, age 15-19.
Roger: a jolly prankster of the Burger Palace Boys, tenor, age 15-19.
Cha-Cha: Charlene DiGregorio, apparently the best dancer, soprano, age 16-21.
Eugene Florczyk: silly, pompous, gullible nerd, age 16-19.
Johnny Casino: all-American, rock-star student, baritone, age 17-25.
Miss Lynch: no-nonsense English teacher, age 30-60.
Patty Simcox: peppy cheerleader, age 15-19.
Burger Palace Boys/male ensemble, age 14-21
Pink Ladies/female ensemble, age 14-21
