Returning letter winners: Seniors -Chris Day (5-10 guard), Cole Clark (6-1 center), Derek Volkernick (6-2 forward), Brady Fergola (6-0 forward), Jacob Arsenault (5-10 guard), Adam Bedard (5-9 guard), Jonathan Benjamin (6-3 forward); Junior – Cameron Kaubris (6-0 guard); Sophomores – Eric Berry (5-11 guard), Cam Sennick (6-5 center).
Key losses: Travis Ruff (guard), Matt Laubauskas (forward), Myles Mercier (guard).
Promising newcomers: Senior – Ryan Laubauskas (6-0 center); Sophomores – Izaak Mills (5-10 guard), Zach Radcliffe (5-6 guard), Isaac Roberts (6-1 forward); Freshmen – Ryan Nichols (5-9 guard), Jacob Theriault (5-11 guard).
Outlook: With long-time varsity assistant/JV head coach White at the helm, the Falcons aren’t just going to go up-tempo this year, they’re going on Grinnell time. Their new offensive system, pattered after a small private college in Iowa, stresses keeping the pedal to the metal, shooting three-pointers, full-court pressure and subbing liberally to keep fresh legs on the floor. They hope to have Kaubris, one of the top players in Western B last year, recovered from the shoulder problems he dealt with during football season.
