Returning players: Boys: Junior — Nick Michaud; Sophomore — Ryan Stuart. Girls: Seniors — Marisa Hanning, Kristen Lindstrom, Kayla Turner, Claire Stauder, Leslie Grover; Junior — Victoria Ebsworth; Sophomores — Colleen Stauder, Mimi Baumhoff, Samantha Hatch, Amanda Hanning.

Key losses: Krista Hakala, Jesse Brown, Abby Smith, Taylor Menezes, Chuck Munn, Zach Smith.

Promising newcomers: Boys: Freshmen — Andrew Hatch, Matt Michaud, Kieran Sadler, Kane Williamson.

Outlook: The boys lost a bunch of experience to graduation, and have a large group of incoming skiers. This won’t be the year the Vikings run at a state crown. But the boys should still be competitive. The girls, meanwhile, are very experienced this season, and very deep. Look for the Vikings to poke their heds into the KVAC mix this season.

Coach’s comment: “With boys being so young, I believe we will do well to finish in the top 6. The girls should do well depending on how we progress through the season. It all comes done to who skis clean and fast in the big meets.” — Coach Mike Grace
