LEBANON (AP) — Rescue officials in Lebanon, Maine, say two people are hospitalized with serious injuries after being thrown from an all-terrain vehicle.

Officials say a man and a woman, who were not named, were thrown from the four-wheeler at about 1:20 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Jim Grant Road and Emmons Lane. The ATV then rolled over the passengers.

According to WCSH-TV, a 33-year-old man who was found unconscious in the road was taken by helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland. A woman who was on the ATV was taken by ambulance to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H.

Officials says the riders were not wearing helmets.
