PORTLAND — A Maine workshop for veterans and current members of the U.S. military is targeting individuals seeking jobs.

Staff from Maine’s Department of Professional and Financial Regulation and other agencies will help veterans and military personnel apply their specialized experience to new jobs and acquire state certification during a workshop on Tuesday.

The workshop is running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 772 Stevens Avenue Armory in Portland.

Tradespeople at the workshop include electricians, plumbers, and technicians for traditional heating systems as well as those using natural gas and other fuels.

Military members need to provide identification and proof of honorable discharge.
