CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Anna C. Snook of Auburn received a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude from Boston College at its 138th commencement on May 19.

Snook, who majored in sociology and environmental studies, is the daughter of Cathy and Ed Snook, and a graduate of Cheverus High School.

NASHVILLE —  Meghan Murphy of Winthrop qualified for the spring dean’s list at Belmont University. 

Meghan is the daughter of Michael and Cathy Murphy and a graduate of St. Dominic Academy. She is majoring in music business.

UNITY — Darian Nadeau, son of Helen DeBlois of Winthrop and Gary Nadeau of Monmouth, has been named to the honors’ list for the fall semester at Unity College.

Darian is a second-year student at the college majoring in conservation law enforcement.

MEMPHIS — Jeremy E. Theriault of Auburn was named to the Rhodes College honor roll for the spring semester. Theriault is a graduate of Edward Little High School.

STORRS, Conn. — Margaret Elisabeth Hall of East Dixfield and Abigail Janice Mace of Readfield attained the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Connecticut.

NEW YORK — Corey Olsen of Turner is among 714 students from School of Visual Arts who received undergraduate degrees on May 15 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. Olsen graduated with a BFA in photography.

ATLANTA — Jordan Conant of Winthrop made the dean’s list for the spring semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology. 

SELINSGROVE, Pa.— Greta-Anne Castonguay of Turner was recently inducted into the National Biological Honor Society, Beta Beta Beta, at Susquehanna University.

Beta Beta Beta is an organization dedicated to improving and furthering student knowledge in biological areas, as well as emphasizing the importance of scientific research in student learning.

Castonguay, a junior majoring in biology, is a 2012 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and the daughter of David and Gisele Castonguay.

WORCESTER, Mass. — Assumption College’s 97th commencement ceremony was held May 17.

SEARCY, Ark. — Michelle Heroux of Harrison is one of more than 750 graduates who received a diploma at Harding University’s commencement exercises May 10.

Heroux received a Bachelor of Arts in communication sciences and disorders.

WALTHAM, Mass. — Local residents who were honored for their outstanding academic achievement in the spring semester at Bentley University include:

WORCESTER, Mass. — Victor J. Dumais of Lewiston graduated on May 17 from Assumption College, receiving an M.A. in counseling psychology with a concentration in cognitive behavioral therapy.

His experiential specialization has been in substance abuse treatment, and he has worked as a counselor for the past year at a methadone treatment center for opiate addiction.

Dumais is the son of Dr. Martha Cardiolli and Joseph P. and Kimberly Dumais.

PORTLAND — At the recent University of Southern Maine Student Involvement Recognition Gala, Tonya Bailey-Curry of Lewiston received the Outstanding Student Employee Award for her work in the Lewiston Auburn College Druker Office of Community Engagement.

She accomplished much during her first few months, creating resource lists of community partners; an informational brochure; and connecting with students and faculty to facilitate engagement projects.

Bailey-Curry took on leadership roles with the program and was instrumental in the planning and execution of the “Bringing it Home” event with Edward Little High School students.
