An Orono woman was arrested on Aug. 6 after being nabbed for driving drunk on I-95.
According to reports state police were notified that driver was going north in the southbound lane of I-95 at about 10 p.m. that night in the Old Town-Orono area of the interstate. A state trooper located the driver, Sarah Balaban-Garber, and tried to stop her; Balaban-Garber, however, kept on going, leading to the trooper ramming her vehicle when she swerved her car in front of him, finally bringing Balaban-Garber to a halt.
Baraban-Garber was charged with OUI and failure to stop for an officer. According to reports her breath alcohol contents was almost three times higher than Maine’s legal limit.
