LEWISTON — Tara Coste, a leadership and organizational studies professor from the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College, has been named USM’s interim executive director of graduate studies. USM President Glenn Cummings announced the appointment Aug. 18.

An experienced team builder, Coste has been an active member of the Faculty Senate Executive Council, chair of the Graduate Council and director of the Leadership Studies Program.

Her teaching focuses on refining the training processes that enhance creativity in teams and on teaching business professionals techniques to enhance their leadership abilities in multicultural, multinational environments. She is a colleague of the Creative Education Foundation, leader at the Creative Problem Solving Institute, visiting scholar at Singapore Management University’s Wee Kim Wee Centre for Cultural Diversity in Business, co-founder of the International Forum of Creativity Organizations, and past president and director of communications of the American Creativity Association.
