A study conducted at the Harvard School of Public Health found that moderate coffee drinking might be tied to lower risk of death. Researchers looked at death trends in groups with varying amounts of coffee consumption and found that death from heart disease, neurological disease, and suicide was less common among coffee drinkers.

According to WebMD, nonsmokers who drank three to five cups of coffee a day for 30 years were 15 percent less likely to die of any cause, versus nondrinkers. “Specifically, they had lower rates of death from heart disease, stroke, neurological conditions and suicide.”
