DEAR SUN SPOTS: You talked about Lewiston having a full service gas station, and Auburn has a wonderful full-service gas station, too.

Poisson’s & Sons Auto Care is on South Main Street in Auburn. Not only do they pump your gas, but they wash the windshield, the back window, and Don or Dan have been known to even clean my side windows. They offer to check the oil and even mention that one may have forgotten to register or inspect his or her car. Tires are checked, and I cannot tell you how many times they have saved me money by suggesting needs for my car.

Their full-service maintenance garage does honest work and aims toward perfection to fix your car. It’s Poisson’s and Sons Auto Care for me — with great gas prices, too.

Don and Dan’s dad, Henry, whistled, smiled and chatted while he filled your car and exuded the best hospitality in town for car repair, gas, etc., and he passed that very same essence of being on to his boys. — Judy, Auburn.

ANSWER: Thank you for all of that wonderful information. Sun Spots focused on Lewiston full-service stations to address the reader’s specific question in the Aug. 9 column, but it is important to note that the area has several full-service stations just beyond the Lewiston city limits.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I found a man’s class ring that I believe is from Lisbon High School. It has the name “Chris” on the side and the year is 1993 on top. The word “Greyhound” is on the other side of the ring. Inside are the initials “C N B.” It also has the letter “L” on top of a light blue stone. I would like to return it to its rightful owner. I can be reached at (207) 268-4062. — No Name, No Town.
