Authority to hold annual meeting

PORTLAND — The annual meeting of the Maine Health and Higher Educational Facilities Authority will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the Cumberland Club, 116 High St.

Finnish-American group to meet

WEST PARIS — The Finnish-American Heritage Society of Maine will hold its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at 8 Maple St.

Following a short business meeting, the Oxford Hills Ukulele Group will perform.

The program is open to the public.

Carol Sing in Wilton Dec. 18

WILTON — There will be a Carol Sing at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at Wilton Congregational Church, 386 Main St.

The public’s invited to come sing their favorite Christmas carols. Light refreshments will be served.

Donations will be accepted to benefit the Organ Fund.

Society’s Christmas open house

LOVELL — Lovell Historical Society will host a Christmas open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at the 1839 Kimball-Stanford House, at 551 Main St., Route 5.

Inside the historic home there will be a large bake sale of holiday goodies, an abundant free refreshment table, and several local businesses will exhibit their wares. The Museum will be decorated for the holidays with an exhibit featuring the Society’s permanent display. Additionally, children will have the opportunity to decorate cookies.

Visitors will have the opportunity to win one of three raffle prizes, including a $200 gift certificate for heating fuel (oil, propane or wood). Tickets for the raffle are $5 for a book of six or $1 each. The raffle drawing will be held at 3 p.m.

SeniorsPlus satellite office hours

FARMINGTON — SeniorsPlus will hold office hours for its satellite office location at 218 Fairbanks Road in Farmington.

Office hours for scheduled appointments will be from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Visitors will need to call 1-800-427-1241 to schedule an appointment.

Walk-in hours will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns community members may have about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families. These services are free and open to the public.
