Coach: Marc Fortin (22nd year)
Class: C; Conference: MVC
Last year’s record: 6-10
Returning athletes: Senior —Jacob Hickey (P/SS), Bennett Brooks (SS/3B/P), Matt Ingram (C/P), Antonio Meucci (1B/P), Spencer Steele (2B); Juniors — Greg Fay (2B/P), Cameron Gaghan (3B), Carson Camick (C/OF); Sophomores — Jackson Ladd (OF/P), Maguire Anuszewski (C/OF).
Key losses: None.
Promising newcomers: Freshmen — Ryan Baird (P), Bradley Bourne (INF), Hachey (C), Zach Pray (OF), Jacob Carter (2B).
Season outlook: Graduation left the Ramblers with a lot of holes to fill last year and the result was a rare drop from contention. With everyone back this season, they should be back battling for a playoff spot and maybe even a home game in the tournament. The lineup should be solid top to bottom. Steele’s season is in question with a knee injury, but they will be strong in the infield. The pitching staff has plenty of experience. With the new pitch count rules and Fortin’s long-standing preference to limit his starters to one start per week, everyone should get plenty of more opportunities.
