The Oxford Hills Christian Academy’s Merely Players theater troupe will present Marc Brown’s “Around the World in 80 Days,” at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 4, and 7 p.m., Saturday, May 6, at the Pleasant Street Baptist  Church, 59 Plesant St., Mechanic Falls.  Based on the classic by Jules Verne,  the dapper Mr. Fogg and his trusty sidekick, Passepartout, race around the world on a wager, only a step ahead of arrest. Along the way they meet a fantastic array of zany characters who either aid or delay them on their journey. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and will be sold at the door. Doors open half an hour before show time. Concessions available at intermission. The cast includes Sara Farrell, Josiah Mosher, Jacob Carr, Alana Carr, Jayree Gumprecht, Josh Cote, and Michelle Wheeler, who also directs.
