Lucille Hemond Hodsdon presents the history of town poor farms at a recent meeting of the Minot Historical Society in Minot. Hodsdon told why the farms existed and who lived on them. Hodsdon also spoke about the town farm that was part of Minot history. It was in the Pottle Hill area. Upcoming meetings of the society will feature the Junior History Club, an antiques appraisal, a Civil War encampment and a tour of Bridgham Mills homes. Refreshments follow each meeting and program.
