Mother son dance Saturday

LISBON FALLS — A mother-son dance will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at the Recreation Center, 18 School St.

There will be a DJ, raffles, flowers for mothers, cake and a photographer. 

Cost is $15 per couple at door and $5 per child.

First Auburn Seniors to meet 

AUBURN — The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet for a regular meeting at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 17. Those attending should enter through the new entrance between the gym and arena.

The meeting will include a memorial service followed by bingo. Those attending the meeting should bring a bag lunch and coffee cups. 

Tickets will be on sale for the June 21 finger roll dinner.

There will be be a steering committee meeting at 10 a.m., before the meeting.

The 50/50 non-winning tickets from the anniversary party were chosen for Mary Tassinari, Caroline Chapman, Cindy Larrabee, John Watson, Irene Ledoux, Joanne Cyr, Ann Watson, Donna Brown, Lorraine Raymond and Madge Gardner.

Star Teachings of TEA 

TURNER — Star Teachings of TEA will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 21, by the river at the boat dock, Riverlands State Park, Center Bridge Road.

The event will take place rain or shine.

Moxie parade registration open

LISBON — The Moxie Committee is registration for the Moxie Festival Parade on July 8.

In keeping with the mood of the festival, parade units must represent Moxie in some way. It could be as simple as flying flags or banners in Moxie orange, wearing Moxie colors or representing the festival theme, “Moxie Salutes the Red, White and Blue,” saluting all active military, veterans and first responders.

Registration deadline for parade enrollment is Friday, June 30.
